Nutritional Therapy


I am a qualified as a Nutritional Therapist, completing a Diploma and Advance Diploma in Nutritional Healing with the Nutritional Healing Foundation in 2012. Good nutrition is the base of all good health. Being both a Reflexologist and Nutritional Therapist, I am able to see the true picture of health of my clients and can advise them accordingly. I initially trained using the Ingham method but I have also completed further training in Repro-Reflexology, Facial Reflexology, (using the Bergman method) and Precision Reflexology.

I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (AOR) and as such am committed to working in accordance with their Code of Practice and Continued Professional Development (CPD) policies. I currently have a practice in Honiton East Devon. I also am available for home visits in the local area.

Reflexology is an easy treatment to receive. It is very relaxing and proven to reduce cortisol levels, thereby reducing stress in the body. As stress is believed to be a factor in 70% of all illness, then reducing levels is going to be a beneficial strategy. Reflexology also improves the circulation of the blood thus facilitating the better transport of nutrients around the body. This contributes to general feeling of wellbeing.

A session once a month is often a good place to start!

I will take a full medical history and discuss any issues you maybe having. I will then ask you to sign a consent form. All information is kept confidential.

If having foot reflexology, you will then need to remove your socks. You will then recline in the chair and I will then apply a light foot balm and apply light pressure to massage different parts of the feet and lower leg. Occasionally, certain areas maybe tender, or feel gritty to me. This is a sign of an imbalance. Afterwards I will talk to you about what I may have felt and advise you upon a course of further sessions.

Each person is an Individual and result will vary dependent upon the issues involved.

Clients feel deeply relaxed and an improved sense of wellbeing: occasionally feeling tired, but many report a good night sleep the day of the treatment.
All of the reactions are normal and part of the healing journey.

This is a question I get asked regularly. Everyone is different and there is no standard answer to this question. However, if you have a specific issue that you are hoping to address with Reflexology, then it is highly likely that you will need a course of treatments. Generally, 4-6 treatments are needed for you to start to start to feel the real benefit of reflexology, this is because reflexology has a cumulative effect and so each treatment builds on the benefits felt from the previous treatment.

It is advisable to start with weekly treatments, to build on the positive effects of the previous week. Once we are at the fourth treatment it is possible to move to fortnightly, with the view to monthly, or as and when you fell you need a top up!
